Why do the hydrides of o and f are in group 16 and 17 show abnormally high mp and BP as compared to other hydrides

It is due to hydrogen bonding ….due to high electronegativity of o and f they form intermolecular hydrogen bonding …this results in increase of intermolecular forces which in turn leads to high bp and mp.
