Because of centrifugal force

Answer:
This is due to inertia.
Explanation:
When the bus takes a sharp turn, our lower body(legs, knees, etc) being in direct contact with the bus goes in the direction of turning. But our upper body which was in a state of rest, continues to remain in that position for a short period of time while the lower body moves sideways and thus we tend to fall in the opposite direction of the turning.
