Glucose is a simple sugar. Carbohydrates, when consumed, have to be digested into glucose. As glucose can be easily absorbed in blood, it provides energy to the body. Hence, when glucose is directly taken, it does not have to be digested and thus acts as an instant source of energy.

Hello friend!
Unlike complex sugar and carbohydrates, which need to be further broken down into simpler compunds to be easily digested and produce energy, glucose will give you instant energy when consumed since it is the simplest form of carbohydrates i.e. it cannot be further decomposed into simpler compounds...So, when we take in glucose, it directly gets mixed in the bloodstream and provides us energy almost instantly..That is also the reason why athletes and players drink glucose before playing a match, as glucose will always be easily digested to give you energy quickly...
