We know that we have hairs inside our nasal passage ,which are responsible for filtration of air, since, if the dust can pass through this filtration. This will results in sneeze by a sudden irritaion in nose.

When we breathe polluted air or air that is laden with dust particles then these particles get trapped in our nostrils.

Sometimes the dust particles enter the nostrils and then starts irritating the mucus lining of the nasal-cavity.

When this phenomenon occurs then we start sneezing. Sneezing is often caused because of air pollution.
