hey frnd.....
when we enter in a dark room our cornea expands to take inside more light rays so that we can see the objects easily. hence it takes some time to expand the cornea of our eyes.

When we are in lightened surrounding our darkness sensitive cells of eyes -rod cells are scattered.
When you go in dark room they take time to concentrate in some place.After few seconds you can see things clearly.
