map is a two dimensional representation of the earth. the space provided in the map is limited. it is not possible to write or draw every details in the map . therefore we used universally accepted symbols called conventional sysmbols which help us to distinguish each and every distinct object in a map. theses symbols are accepted by people in every part of the world
