Both the sphere and the moon are visible on the upper-right side, while the lower-left side is shaded and barely visible.
We can arrive at this answer because:
Both the moon and the sphere are receiving and reflecting sunlight.
This light is reaching the upper-right side of both the moon and the sphere.
This makes these sides light up and reflect that light.
This casts a shadow on the lower-left side of the sphere and moon.
This shadow leaves this darkened side, which impairs its visualization.
In this case, we can say that sunlight is what determines which sides will be viewed and which will be darkened.
