Why do you think the framers of the Indian Constitution rejected the idea of dual citizenship (of India and of the state)?

The framers of our constitution actually rejected the idea of dual citizenship since the first Article of the constitution of Article 1 states that India is actually an Union of states rather than being a federation of the states.

Mostly because of this it can be said that the citizens of India cannot be allowed to have dual citizenship even if they wanted to.
