During the amendment act we see that part 9 has thereby been added to the Constitution of India and has been titled as "Panchayat". This part particularly comprises of article 243 to 243-0.

A new schedule known as the Eleventh schedule therefore lists the 29 functional items which the panchayats are supposed to deal with. This is in turn listed under the Article 243-G.
