Some latin American countries have limited resources, which has kept the GDP lower, while countries such as Brazil, Argentina and Venezuela have mineral resources, but due to its vast population have remained undeveloped.
Secondly, corruption and lack of accountability has kept the nations poor.
Finally, the drug business has also played its part in keeping the Latin American nations underdeveloped.
