When you roll a ball on the ground, the electrons in the atoms on the surface of theground push against the electrons in the atoms on the surface of your ball that is touching the ground. A rolling ball stops because the surface on which it rolls resists itsmotion. A rolling ball stops because of friction.

mayank8583: due. to. friction
kushur: I have the answer but I simple wording and shot
sunilyadava07: it's because due to frictional force acting on it.

Its beacuse when it moves forward a backward force called friction acts that stops it.
