The rainfall that India receives is called the South-west monsoon. A notorious fact about this climatic phenomena is its occurrence without failure and the direction of flow. The North east retreat monsoon leaves the country in the exact opposite direction. The North-East retreat monsoon which covers mostly all those parts of the country where the monsoon winds blow is usually dry, but the retreat monsoon picks up moisture from the Bay of Bengal during the November months and cause rainfall in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu in the winters

Here is your answer...
TN get rain from 2 monsoon winds
South western monsoon,North eastern monsoon
SW monsoon(Jun-Sep) arrives from Arabian sea and TN doest not get a heavy rain due to this because western ghats block the moisture and absorb maximum rain . SW monsoon benefits Kerala,Karnataka, Goa and Maharashtra … but AP and TN get a portion of rain or showeres
NW monsoon(Oct-Dec) comes from bay of Bengal and it brings cyclones and depression with them . So all East coastal states TN ,AP , Orissa ,WB and andaman islands receive heavy rainfall also karnataka and kerala get decent amount to rain with this monsoon.
Hope it helps yu.....
