why does flow of acid rain water into a river make the survival of aquatic life in the river difficult

Acid Rain Water can give birth to several algae leading to eutrophication. These algae form their layer on the surface and water animals and fishes are unable to get oxygen and can't complete their other needs. As these all substances are taken by algae. Also, acid rain water pollutes the water.
