Why does fungus does not grow on plastic

fungus only grow in warm and damp conditions where food is available...so in plastic there's no environment to grow..and plastic is not it's food..

Fungi have a saprophytic type of nutrition.This means that they cannot produce there own food but, require an external source of food for getting energy...so, plastic cannot produce own food.....
