Answer:

When one enters a dim lit room from bright sunlight, it takes some time to see the objects, due to the fact that, in bright sunlight the pupil of our eye is small. So, when we enter the dim lit room, very little light enters our eye and we are unable to see properly.

ANSWER :

In bright sunlight, the iris contracts the pupil to allow less light to enter the eye and in dim light, the iris expands the pupil to admit more light to see the object clearly. Therefore, it takes sometimes to increase the size of pupil in dim light.
