Well, when light moves from one medium to another, it shifts in a way that the path is of least distance.Also, Light travels so fast because it has no mass.

Albert01: Anything with mass-energy warps space-time. Everything travels through spacetime, so everything is effected by gravity. It is following what is from its point of view a straight line. Gravity can be seen as a result of the geometry of the local spacetime.

light travels so fast because it has mass less particle named photon now u will ask how it matters that any thing has not mass and it can affect on its speed then ur answer is the spped of something is basically determined byvit's mass
