why does lime water turns milky when air is sucked from an outlet .........please tell

When carbon dioxide comes in contact with it.....it converts the solution milky

When carbon dioxide dissolves in water, it forms an acid which can react with the calcium hydroxide. The products of this reaction are calcium carbonate (the same chemical as chalk - that is why it goes milky!)
