RESISTANCE OF A WIRE IS INVERSLY PROPOTIONAL TO THEAREA OF CROSS SECTION OF A WIRE. SO IF THICKNESS OF A WIRE IS INCREASED IT'S RESISTANCE DECRRASES. ALSO RESISTANCE OF A WIRE IS DIRECTLY PROPORTIONAL TO THE LENGTH OF A WIRE.SO IF LENGTH OF A WIRE IS DECREASED ITS RESISTANCE ALSO DECREASES. THEREFORE THICK WIRE OF SHORT LENGTH IS USED TO GET LOW RESISTANCE.
