Her attitude towards money is similar to the protective attitude that an elder sister assumes towards her younger sibling. She does not discriminate between the currency of different nations. No matter where she is, she is always careful about spending her money. She also avoids giving tips in the hotels.

1. Why should we pay Rs 1000 for an old tiger which is about to die. ? 
2. She said that the goat was just an extra bait and if the tiger doesn't touch it we need not pay for it.

Thus the above two statements suggest that Louisa Mebbin has a protective elder sister attitude towards money in general.
