Why does the earth not become as cold as moon at night?

earth's atmosphere has thick layer which traps heat energy from sun...whereas moon doesn't

according to this moon hasn't have any layer that traps th heat energy frm sun then moon has high temperature ......but it is not true
its true but moon has low temperature..
then how it is possible ..... in this phenomenon sun doesn't play any role this is due the pressure of air in the both of atmosphere

The earth has a thick layer of atmosphere whereas the moon do not have atmosphere at all . Due to Earth's thick atmosphere, the atmosphere traps the heat of the sunlight and during the night it maintains a balance in the temperature.

because the pressure of air on moon is less and that on the earth is more as compare to the moon and temperature is directly proportional to the pressure that's why earth not become as cold as moon at night...
