Why does the moon appears big even though it is much smaller than the sun?

the answer lies to the perspective as you know son is very much far from it but its eyes is very much large so it seems to be somewhat smaller in size
but if you see the sun from Mercury the sun cover about 50 to 60% of the sky so the distance between the sun and earth matters

but as you know moon is smaller but it is closer to earth so it appears somewhat big

the moon appears big enough to us although it's much smaller than the sun primarily because of these reasons

➡ the distance between the Earth and the sun is much smaller as compared between sun and earth

➡ due to this reason it appears bigger to us

➡ however , an interesting fact among this is that although the distance between the Earth and the sun is much smaller as compared between sun and earth but still light from the moon reaches the earth late.. why?

➡ this happens because moon gets reflected light whereas light from silun takes only 8.3 min approximately to reach here
