Cain is the first murderer in the Bible. Here Ted Hughes tries to associate jaguar with Cain because of the brutal side of the jaguar, its unflinching intent and ferocity, and intense focus on the act of hunting.

Answer:

The poem “Second Glance at a Jaguar" is all about the animals that are caged in the zoo and their depression in detail. Poet Ted Hughes in his poem tells about the animals and their moods above humanity. The jaguar is the primal animal of the poem written by the poet. The poem is all about an imaginary status of a jaguar, social aspects and humanity in this poem.
