why dont the lungs collapse even after forceful expiration

IT IS SO BECAUSE OF THE FLEXIBILITY OF THE MUSCLES OF WHICH THE LUNGS IS COMPOSED.

bcoz there is always some amount of residual volume of oxygen left in the lungs that helps to rescue lungs from collapsing.
