Because both +ve and -ve square to the same +ve
bcoz the square of both 2 and -2 will give us 4 so thats the answer

that square of 2 means 2 x 2 gives 4 and square of -2 that is -2 x -2 is also 4

When you square 2 it becomes positive no matter what it was before; then, when you take the square root, it's still positive. Therefore, the answer is just |2| , not +-2
