first,we shall learn that :-

WHAT IS AVERAGE INCOME ?

The total income of a country divided by its total population is called average income.

It tells us how much money an Indian people earns monthly on an average.

HOW IS IT AN IMPORTANT CRITERIA FOR DEVELOPMENT ?

More the average income of a country,more is it economicaly developed . The people in the country would be able to avail more health ,education ,etc. services. So ,all the other factors more or less depend on average income, So we can say that average income is an important criteria for development.


LIMITATIONS OF AVERAGE INCOME :-

(I)it hides disparities.

(ii)it doesn't tell how income is distributed throughout the country.
