The reason why fogs at sea are experienced off the coast of Newfounland is as follows:
- Above warm ocean current, the air is warm and above cold ocean current air is cool.
- At some point warm and cold ocean current meet.
- After getting in contact with cold, the warm ocean current condenses and fog is the result of it.
- So, in coast of Newfoundland fog is found which is result of meeting of cold Labrador Current and warm Gulf Stream.
