Hey there!

Answer:

Friction is a force acting on a object in a direction opposite to the motion of object relative to the surface.

In some situations, friction is very important. There are many things that could not do without the friction.

Here are the advantages of friction;

1. Walking : We could not able to walk without the friction between our shoes and the ground. It helps to move an object when we push or pull it.

2. Writing : Writing with a pencil requires friction. We could not able to hold a pen/pencil in our hand without the friction.

3. Driving car : Our car would not start moving without the friction because there is friction between the tyres and the road or any surface. If there is no friction between tyres and road then car tyres would just spin.

4. Stops the moving objects : It helps a moving object to come to halt. If there is no friction then object would not stop.
