Dandi March was undertaken under the civil disobedience movement (1930 - 1934)
In 1930, Gandhiji began his historic march to Dandi to break the salt law. He selected to attack the Salt Law because the salt tax affected all sections of the society.
Gandhiji's breaking of salt law in Dandi by picking up some salt left by seawaves marked the beginning of the Civil Disobedience movement.
