usually west Bengal will have public holiday on rabindranath Tagore's birthday..
but other state don't have any such holiday..
but coming may 8 will be declared holiday as it is rabindranath Tagore's 150 th birthday..

All this depends not only the greatness of the person but also his/her
social, political, educational and various other approaches with the
government.
As per my opinion, Tagore did a lot to his state but was never eager
to get name and fame.
