why H2 is not evolved when metal react with HNO3

H2 is not evolved when metal reacts with HNO3 because nitric acid is an oxidizing agent as , soon as reaction takes place and H gets ready to evolve
nitic acid oxidizes it and turn it into water.

hydrogen gas is not evolved in hno3 because nitric acid is a stron oxididing agent and it oxidise hydrogen to form water
