According to Molecular Orbital Theory, FX2 must be diamagnetic, then why is it colourful? Also, OX2 is paramagnetic but it is colourless in gas phase.

bromine is brown coloured liquid iodine is blue black colored solid and fluorine and chlorine are colourful gases
