why has natural selection not eliminates sickle cell anaemia​

→ Sickle cell anaemia provides natural immunity against malarial parasite plasmodium.

→ Due to the sickel cells of RBCs, plasmodium species are unable to thrive in the patients and hence this acts as a natural immunity against the disease.

→ Hence nature has not eliminated sickle cell anaemia.
