But as compare to other forms of harmful gases that is released by factories etc. burning of leaves considered to be less hazardous. Burning of leaves is not declared a threat by the government as such but it should be avoided. Instead dry leaves should be buried under the ground with some water sprinkled.  This way they undergo decomposition naturally and thus releases organic materials into the soil.
