Why have industrialisation and urbanisation become the cause of water scarcity?

Because due to industrialisation ,huge amount of water is being used in industry to fulfill its requirement.Which is leading to water pollution and scarcity.Nowsdays people are settled in urban centres which lead huge demand of water for daily household works which lead to water scarcity

industry need large amount of water to fulfill their demand, they also pollute water and nowadays people moving to urban area they also required huge amount of water to fulfill their requirement ,they also waste lot of water in their daily purpose
