Assuming 72 beats every 60 seconds.

So in one second number of heart beat(s):

72/60= 1.2 beats per second.

2. The frequency of heart beat a.k.a Cardiac Cycle or the time taken for one cardiac cycle is:

60/72= 0.8s

This is the frequency of the heart and is known as Cardiac cycle.

Atrial systole → 0.1s

Atrial diastole → 0.7s

Ventricular systole → 0.3s

Ventricular diastole → 0.5s

Joint diastole → 0.4 to 0.7s

Therefore in one second ~1.2 beats are completed.

Cardiac cycle (the beating of heart/ pumping of heart) is 0.8 seconds.

The cardiac cycle begins from atrial systole to joint diastole.

Please don’t get confused with time period of heart beat with frequency of heart beat.

SO IT GETS CHANGED EVERYTIME ON BEHALF OF YOUR EMOTIONS OR FEELINGS.

I hope this answers the question.
