why in Haryana female population less compared to male
Answers
India as a whole has less women than men, but this is mainly because of female infanticide in North India.
Northern India as a whole has less women, and the sex ratio has a pretty big difference. I believe the ratio is about 941 women per 1000 men.
Haryana is one state in North India that has one of the biggest sex ratio differences, and it is mostly due to female infanticide.
It's sad, but a LARGE number of North Indian men are going to die alone because of their practice of female infanticide.
South India, on the other hand, has FAR more women in it because women are much more respected in the South. The number of men and women there is MUCH closer to being equal. There are still more men (except Kerala, the only state in India with more women than men, and also the state that is FAMOUS for how well it's women are treated), but the difference is far less than in North India.
