Why Indians refuse to participate in the Second World War alongside the British?

I don't know the exact answer but I spoke to my jio when they was second world war India the world was divided into two parts was by polarised and they were allowed by an Axis power in India don't want to give don't want you to be a part of any any parts so why India adopted non alignment movement
