Why is a magnetic needle deflected when a current carrying conductor passes over it?

Answer:it is because when charged particle accelerate,it produces electric field which produces magnetic field.
Becoz of the magnetic field the compass needle deflects.

Electric current shows magnetic effect. This is a property of it. So when magnetic needle is brought near it , it gets deflected
