Why is a spinner used to make nylon but not cotten?

spinneret is a device which contains fine holes. The melted plastic is forced through spinneret to obtain long threads of nylon. Cotton and wool are naturally available fibres. So use of spinneret is not required to make fibres, in case of cotton
