animal dung cakes are burnt which emits gases like Co2 and unburnt carbon to environment which can be harmful to environment and biogas is a ecofriendly gas which doesn't produce any harmful gas.

Biogas is a better fuel because..
Burning of animal dung cake causes lot of pollution whereas biogas is a smokeless fuel.
The calorific value of animal dung cake is much lower than that of biogas.
Animal dung cakes leave residue after burning whereas biogas leaves no residue.
