The boiling point of water is lower in mountains then in sea level , this is due to the atmospheric pressure . As we know, in mountains we have a lower atmospheric pressure as compared to the sea level and thus it affects the boiling point of the water. And from gay-lussac's law , temperature is directly proportional to the pressure .
