why is duffusion insufficent to meet the oxygen requirement of multicellular organisms like us ?

As you know our body needs regular supply of oxygen to follow out all life processes but if diffusion of oxygen occurs then it will take more than 3 years for a oxygen molecule to reach from our head to toe... I think it will work for you.. Mark me Brainliest

Diffusion is insufficient to meet the oxygen requirements of multicellular organism because all cell of multicellular organism are not in direct contact with the our surrounding environment. Multicellular organism have complex body and they have various functions such as intake of food and exchange of respiratory gases etc....
That's why diffusion is insufficient for us..
