- Equator is the great circle of the entire world which is situated at perfect right angles with the spin axis.
- The definition of a great circle is referred to as the circle which is formed on the surface which is the exact position wherein the sphere is being intersected by the plane passing through centre of the sphere.
- It is called a small circle if the particular plane is not passing through the earth is in fact not a perfect circle which is why it only has one longest line and one great circle and both of them are the equator.
