Gold is used to make jewelry because of the attractiveness of its luster and because of its rarity. It also doesn't tarnish and doesn't react with air the way a metal like iron does. Therefore, gold is alloyed with other metals to make it stronger.

Why Is Gold used to Make Jewelry ?

Gold Is used to make jewelry because of its atrractiveness and beauty. Unlike other metals it does not rust or corrode or reach with air, water or any acids, and its pretty expensive and kind of rare. Gold is also malleable (can be flattened) and ductile (can be drawn into wires), so its is easy to shape into the desired pattern to add beauty to the jewelry.
