If the HNO3 is concentrated the gas produced is a mixture of oxides ofnitrogen, because concentrated nitric acid is a powerful oxidizing agent and can oxidize free hydrogen to water. ... The hydrogen gas produced during its reaction with metal gets oxidised to H2O . Hence no hydrogen gas isproduced

HNO3 is a strong oxidising agent.it oxidises h2 to give water.it only givehydrogen with manganese and magnesium. Nitric acidis strong oxidizing agent. The hydrogen gas produced during its reaction with metal gets oxidised to H2O . Hence no hydrogen gas is produced
hope it helps ☺☺
