Why is india known as secular religion?

Ans:
(1) India is called a secular state because there is no discrimination of religions by the government or the Constitution. 

(2) Secular means giving respect to all religions of the country equally

(3) The Indian State officially became secular in the year 1976 after the 42nd Amendment came into effect.

it is not religion it is called region.
because India has more than 800 languages and every sect is living in peace.
every religion is practicing there religion peacefully.
