The volume increses if the mass is incresed.For exmpl,the mass of iron is much mre thn. the mass of an equl volume of wood .Ths is becz the particles of iron are mre closly packed thn those of the wood.Hence, ths iron is denser thn wood....hope ths wll hlp

Iron is heavier than wood for the same volume because the density of Iron is more then the density of wood
