Heya HERE is your answer

It is necessary because if they would get mix together than the cells of our body will not get the sufficient amount of oxygen and their would not be the formation of energy in sufficient amount. So because of the lack of energy the person can't live long. So it is necessary.

Answer:

We get glucose from what we eat. In tissues this glucose is break down to get energy in the form of ATP which is stored in mitochondria. For such break down oxygen is required. (GLYCOLYSIS, LINK REACTION, KREB'S CYCLE ). To happen all the above oxygen is required separately. In this process of break down of glucose heat is also evolved which is used to maintain body temperature and excess heat is removed in theform of hot air (carbon dioxide )
