Why is it said that we receive only a very small amount of light and heat from the Sun? ¤¤¤NO SPAM¤¤¤REPORTED¤¤¤

Out the humongous energy of the sun only 23 percent is absorbed my Earth.... This is because most of the sun's rays are harmful and can cause diseases such as skin cancer.... Thankfully the Ozone layer deflects such UV rays and hence we have the required lighting of the sun...
