why is it that dogs produce several puppies whereas human beings produce only one child at a time

We don't have any specific answer to this question....(but it may be due to difference in the body structures of humans and animals).

there is no certain answer to this question but a possible reason could be that animals have a body structure designed to accommodate several off springs at a time
